How many times have you heard the same story? Someone hires a person to do a job — maybe fix a roof, sort out the plumbing, paint the house — and it goes wrong. The work is not finished. The price changes. Calls are not returned. And then there is no way to warn anyone else.
At the same time, there are genuinely skilled, hardworking people on this island who do excellent work and nobody knows about them — because word of mouth only reaches so far, and because there has never been a proper way to recognise them.
TrustedHire exists to change both of those things. And we need people from the community to help us make it work.
TrustedHire is a community registry — a proper, verified record of tradespeople and the work they have done. When a customer says a worker did a good job, that gets written down, checked, and published for anyone to see. When a worker builds up a strong record over time, they earn a level of recognition that reflects their real reputation.
This is not a ratings app. It is not a place to complain. It is a way for good workers to be seen — and for people looking for help to find someone they can trust.
And it is built entirely by and for this community. No government involvement. No outside funding. It stands on its own feet — which means it needs people like you to make it work.
We need local people who are known and trusted in their community — people who can have a conversation with a homeowner, look at a finished job, and write down honestly what they found.
You do not need any formal qualifications. What matters is your character and your standing in the community.
When a tradesperson receives a customer review, a verifier checks that the job really happened — by speaking with the customer and, where possible, seeing the finished work. If everything checks out, the record is published.
This is paid work. You will be compensated for each visit you complete.
To keep things fair, verifiers do not assess work in their own village, among close neighbours, or in any situation where they know the people involved. If that happens, the case is simply passed to someone else — no questions asked.
You are not there to judge. You are there to confirm what is true.
The cases you must not assess:
Too many people on this island have had bad experiences. Work left unfinished. Money taken and no return. Promises not kept. And no way to do anything about it afterwards, or to warn the next person.
And on the other side — good workers who take real pride in what they do, who show up on time, who clean up after themselves, who call you back. They have been doing this for years and nobody outside their immediate circle even knows their name.
TrustedHire gives both groups what they deserve: accountability for those who cause harm, and recognition for those who deserve credit. A simple, fair record that anyone can look at.
